1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SceneFinder ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

SceneFinder is operated by Connections Computer Services ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

SceneFinder is an iOS application that provides video analysis using on-device artificial intelligence. The App processes all data locally on your device. No video content is uploaded to external servers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SceneFinder. If you are a minor in your province of residence (under 19 in British Columbia), you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App and agree to these Terms.

4. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

5.1 Available Plans

SceneFinder offers both free and premium subscription options. Current pricing and features are displayed in the App and subject to change.

5.2 Payment and Billing

• All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store
• Prices are displayed in your local currency (CAD for Canadian users)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal
• You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws

5.3 Free Trial

Some subscriptions may include a free trial. You will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. Free trials are typically available once per user.

5.4 Changes to Plans

We reserve the right to modify pricing, features, and available plans at any time. Changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

6. Advertisements

The free version of the App may display third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

7. User Content and Privacy

7.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to videos and content you analyze using the App. We do not claim ownership of your content.

7.2 On-Device Processing

All video analysis occurs locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or access your video content on external servers.

7.3 Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Analyze content you do not have the legal right to access
• Infringe upon the privacy rights of others
• Use the App to harass, stalk, or monitor individuals without consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, and AI models, is owned by Connections Computer Services and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights reserved.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 AI Limitations

The App uses artificial intelligence for video analysis. AI detection is not 100% accurate and may produce errors, false positives, or false negatives. You should not rely solely on the App for critical security or surveillance purposes.

10.3 Security

While we implement security measures, no system is completely secure. We do not guarantee that the App will be free from bugs, viruses, or security vulnerabilities.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CONNECTIONS COMPUTER SERVICES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 CAD, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Connections Computer Services from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights or applicable laws

13. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Apple StoreKit, Google AdMob, and Apple Core ML. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the revised Terms in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or any other reason. You may stop using the App at any time. To cancel subscriptions, manage your Apple ID subscriptions in Settings.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

17. Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Connections Computer Services, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App
• Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App
• You will comply with Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions

18. International Use

The App is controlled and operated from Canada. If you access the App from outside Canada, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

19. General Provisions

• Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect
• Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive that provision
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction
